At SkinScience Medical Aesthetics we want all of our guests to feel important and cared for. Our policies are designed to ensure fairness and respect for both our clients and providers. Each appointment represents time specifically reserved for you, and last-minute changes or cancellations impact the provider’s schedule and the ability to serve other clients. These guidelines help us maintain a professional and efficient environment for everyone.
1. Appointment Deposits for Non-Member Clients
All appointments for non-member clients require a deposit at the time of booking. This deposit will be applied toward the cost of the service or can be saved as a future deposit. If the appointment is canceled within 48 hours or the client fails to attend, the deposit will be forfeited.
2. Late Cancellation/Reschedule (Within 48 Hours)
Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment will incur a fee equivalent to 50% of the service or forfeiture of the deposit. We appreciate your understanding as this time frame impacts our ability to accommodate other clients.
3. Same-Day Cancellation/Reschedule
Cancellations/Rescheduling made on the same day as the scheduled appointment will result in a charge of 75% of the service or forfeiture of the deposit. This policy ensures we maintain a fair and efficient schedule for all clients.
4. No-Show Policy
Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice will result in the forfeiture of one session from any prepaid package or a charge equal to the full cost of the service.
5. Late Arrival Policy
If you arrive more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, you may be required to reschedule your appointment to avoid disrupting the appointments of other clients, a fee may apply.
6. Refund Policy
- Services: We do not offer refunds for any services rendered. Aesthetic results are quite variable from person to person and while we do our best to achieve the desired outcome, it cannot be guaranteed. Clients are responsible for additional treatments needed to achieve desired results.
- Retail Products: Refunds are only available for defective products and must be exchanged for the same product within 14 days of purchase. Please retain your receipt for verification.
- Gift Certificates: All gift certificate purchases are final. No refunds or exchanges will be provided.
7. Children Policy
Here at SkinScience we love babies and children, however, for safety reasons and to maintain a relaxing environment for all clients, we ask that you make child care arrangements prior to your appointment.
8. Pet Policy
Although we love animals, for safety and hygiene purposes, we ask that you leave your pet at home when visiting.
9. Missed Appointments and No-Shows
Clients who have missed failed to provide at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or have missed an appointment without notice (No Show) will be required to pay for future appointments in full at the time of booking. This policy is in place to prevent last-minute cancellations or missed appointments that disrupt the schedule for other clients and staff.
10. Past Due Balances
Clients with an outstanding balance that has been overdue for 7 days or more will also be required to pay in advance for all future services. Outstanding balances must be cleared before scheduling additional appointments.
11. Prepayment Terms
Once a client falls under this policy:
- Full payment for services must be made at the time of booking.
- Prepaid amounts are non-refundable if the client misses the appointment or fails to provide adequate notice for cancellations.
- If the client arrives on time and receives the scheduled service, the prepayment will be applied to that session.
12. How to Avoid Prepayment Requirements
- Clients who consistently attend scheduled appointments and settle balances promptly will be removed from the upfront payment requirement after three consecutive appointments without any issues.
- Clients who maintain a zero balance and comply with our cancellation policies for **three months** will no longer be subject to this policy.
